Lord Sugar is the Chairman of Amshold Group which owns Amscreen, Viglen and Amsprop. He is the well known British entrepreneur and founder of the famous electronics company Amstrad. He has two honorary Doctor of Science degrees, one awarded by the City of London University in 1988, and the other from Brunel University in 2005. He was knighted in 2000. In 2008 he was appointed to the Government Business Council by PM Gordon Brown, and in 2009 he led the government’s Apprenticeship advertising campaign and roadshow seminars. In the same year the PM appointed him Enterprise Champion to advise the government on small business and enterprise, and he was also awarded a life peerage, becoming Alan, Baron Sugar of Clapton in the London Borough of Hackney. Lord Sugar is also well know as the popular star of the award-winning BBC series The Apprentice, and the more recent Young Apprentice.
Tom was the founder of Digicom, the Company’s exclusive sales partner which was acquired in August 2011. Tom has been at the centre of the out of home market for many years during which time he worked at CEO level for several leading UK and International out of home media companies including Viacom, Metro Advertising and Maiden Outdoor. Until 2007 he was the CEO of CBS Outdoor International, overseeing a team of 2,500 employees across Europe and Asia, generating revenues of $800m.
Simon Sugar oversees all of Amscreen's media sales, network developments and marketing activities. He is the former Commercial Director of Amstrad, where he was responsible for managing commercial relationships with customers and developing new business opportunities. He joined Amstrad in 1989 and was appointed to the board on the 1st May 1998. Prior to joining Amstrad he worked for Dixons Stores Group for three years gaining retail experience.
Sean qualified as a chartered accountant in 1993 with Ernst & Young and is responsible for Amscreen's company and network operations. He joined the Hutchinson Smith Group plc in 1996 and has over 10 years experience of senior management positions.
Chris Forrester has over 15 years of experience across magazines, press, online and out of home markets, working in some of the UK’s most respected media companies. Having worked at CBS Outdoor as Head of Sales he moved on to become Managing Director at digital Out of Home start-up Digicom. When Amscreen acquired Digicom he became European MD of sales and marketing responsible for creating and developing Amscreen's strategy across Europe.
Steve is responsible for Amscreen's system architecture, patents and provides technical assistance to bridge and support the sales team, customer projects, network operations and engineering. He is a chartered engineer and holds over 26 years experience in Information and Communication Technology.
Jonathan is responsible for Amscreen's M2M and digital signage product design and development. He has a 1st class Honours degree from Leeds University and has spent over 26 years in design and applications management positions at Farnell Instruments Limited, Harris Semiconductor and Comtech.
