Amscreen group reaches agreement with Brulines

10th September 2009

Company announces deal with Dispense Monitoring company

Machine-to-Machine and Digital Signage specialists Amscreen have announced a new contract win with Brulines, the Dispense Monitoring company. As a result of the deal the company's M2M (Machine-to-Machine) wireless technology units, which will track Brulines' i-draught and Dispense Monitoring products, will be fitted in 5,000 premises.

Amscreen M2M, an operating division within Amscreen, developed the next-generation data collection units that utilise Amscreen's patented µWEAVE M2M platform. The technology, that allows machines to 'talk' and send/collect data from one another via mobile networks and the internet, will enable Brulines to supervise its monitoring products that sit within pubs, clubs and bars across the UK. Part of the remit will be to record the data from its i-draught beer monitoring units, which measure beer volume, temperature, speed of flow, cellar temperatures and automatically assess the quality of line cleaning on the draught beer lines. In addition, the scalable units can be used to monitor soft drinks, wines and spirits, gaming machines and fridge/freezers.

The Amscreen M2M system will enable data to be transmitted to Brulines' central management system, enabling the firm to accurately compare dispense volumes with till transactions to identify products given away, wastage, and provide a true measure of yields on all draught products, as well as identifying key areas of quality to help customers maximise their sales. This method of comparison has provided operators with greater transparency, enabling them to improve yields and gross profit maximizing their return on investment.

The Brulines deal comes at an eventful time for Amscreen, with the firm having recently announced a range of M2M and Digital Signage wins with a range of clients including BP, Coffee Nation and Powerleague.

James Dickson CEO at Brulines said "All our products are dependent on a solution that allows information to be automatically uploaded to a central system, giving instant updates on a range of factors that affect the licensing trade. Amscreen's technology, which operates over the GSM/GPRS networks, has several immediate synergies with our own business and will extend our ability to respond to business challenges immediately."

Simon Sugar, CEO of Amscreen, said: "We are pleased to have won this contract with Brulines and believe that our technology offers the best solution available. The system will provide Brulines with instant information that enables them to manage their UK operations quickly and efficiently."
